Open Studio

Open Studio is our response to the commonly reported problem in the art community of the lack of creative workplaces available free of charge or for a nominal fee. We perfectly understand the need for such places to function. That is why we have prepared rehearsal rooms, which we make available for free to individual artists, collectives, creative teams and non-governmental organizations working in the field of performing arts.

How does it work?

The rehearsal room can be used free of charge. The maximum time we provide the room for at one time is one month. We have several rooms of 50 m2 or 70 m2, with ballet floor or parquet floor.
In addition, you can rent tables, chairs, sound system, and receive basic technical assistance from our team.

Please note, the room can be used on weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 5:30 pm.

We do not conduct special recruitment, you can apply to us at any time.
So if you are looking for a rehearsal room, write to us.

In your message, it’s a good idea to mention the dates you’re interested in, and include a brief description of the project you want to work on within the Open Studio.

You will get permission to use Open Studio after your project has been approved by the artistic director of Komuna Warszawa Theater and the Open Studio coordinator.

Who is Open Studio for?

Our Open Studio rehearsal rooms were used by, among others: Hanna Raszewska-Kursa, Ramona Nagabczyńska, Paweł Sakowicz, Marta Ziółek, Katarzyna Sikora.
But you don’t have to be a well-known artist to apply to us. We also worked with students of the Theater Academy, who prepared their diplomas at our place.
