We invite you to a guest performance by one of the most intriguing performers of the younger generation. At HOT, Stanisław Bulder explores the theme of catastrophe.

“The catastrophe won’t be a spectacular finale.
It’s just the beginning of foreplay: it warms up slowly, trembles, swells, seduces. Time and space stretch out in an unbearable pulse, and you still have to wear yourself out a little more. Lose control. Transform into a different character, because otherwise you won’t survive. There’s a long way to go before the climax.

The world has surpassed its critical temperature, and the surviving remnants of life have vibrated into shreds, impulses, and tensions. Living matter is stuck in a ceaseless process of shaping itself into human beings. Bodies strive to discover a movement that will enable them to bear the countless changes and constant catastrophes. It is within them that the end accumulates.

The apocalypse incarnate fans the flames, leads to decay, but does not allow death. Amid the ruins, one can hear the murmur of what remains and the will to fight, which fills the world with the dust of ancient rituals and artifacts of bygone orders. From afar, arias can be heard piercing the acute emptiness like the sound of a stuck, charred record. The game of burning out continues. Desire and destruction merge into one, and what is alive, sensual, and alluring consumes itself. Beauty rots only to enchant once more. And what seduces us brings destruction.

A physical exploration of exhausted bodies, burning slowly, bit by bit, little by little. A world in which one dies endlessly—the paradoxical beauty of chaos. The contemporary body is the body of the future.
A history of memory that does not yet exist.”
